February 22nd, 2006: Little Gestures


 

From my sweetie pie because he knew I’ve been feeling so icky lately and wanted to make me smile. He got my mom one too. It’s the little things.

I had a horrible laundry disaster the other day. We were using the laundromat in our building and one of the dryers was broken. As in, it didn’t stop after a half hour as it should. By the time we’d put our bedsheets in there it had already been running for hours. Joel had taken them out and set them down where we were going to fold them. Then we started smelling something. Yes, our sheets were burning from the inside of the pile outward — thats how hot they were. It smelled horrible and there was smoke everywhere. And of course, we had to trash them. Supposedly there was a note on the dryer warning people (and the dryer was unplugged) but some crazy person not only used it anyway, but tore the note off and left it plugged in. What’s wrong with people? Oy.

Well, the movie binge continues (as I’ve got alot of catching up to do), so I’m off to rest some.

PS if anyone can tell me how to put in custom smilies in WP I’d greatly appreciate it!

    I suck at wordpress, its shouldve said dailycris.com, same sidebar, raised mid section and right bg edge, sayings like ‘….ramblings of a city girl’ and ‘….ramblings of a downtown girl’, profile pic the rounded edges so adorable. I like how you tailored your stuff to fit her could you customize for me???? I sound like a groupie but I love it all!

    Sorry that your bedsheets got burned. That is just awful. Do you have a 2nd set to sleep with? How immature was that person to take off the sign that could have been prevented this from happening to you.

    I would help you with WP, but I have no idea on how to work it.

    I’ve never heard of sheets burning in a dryer before! LOL. You have to wonder how often that happens! I hope that whoever left that dryer on had worse problems than that. But at least it was your sheets and not your favorite outfit that got ruined, right? ;D hehehe.

    Those are GORGEOUS roses. I love the photographs..

    And in regards to the sign language… I was homeschooled. And when it came to pick a foreign language, I was given a choice between Spanish or ASL (american sign language) and I picked that.

    The flowers thing was sooooo sweet. My mom and I get each other things when we feel icky too…oh well, the same thing I guess cept I have a b/f too but he dosn’t do that…..I’m jealous…damn.
