May 18th, 2006: It feels good to be busy

If you were ever curious as to what my handwriting looks like, there it is. I often get overwhelmed with having tons of stuff to do, so I make lists (and more lists). Sometimes I follow them, sometimes I don’t, but it helps me organize my thoughs, so yeah. Some of the things on there are:
- Call and get an earlier appointment with my doctor
- Call both Hunter and Lehman and look into a transfer (Lehman is much closer to me)
- Hustle to the hospital so I can get my health insurance
- And, to put in my application to T-mobile.
Yes, your girl needs a job. I won’t lie, I’m afraid I’ll go overboard (again) and end up getting sick(er). Which is why the doctor appointment is so necessary, so I can get reassurance that I am indeed in remission and getting back into my old groove won’t cost me. At least I can see myself staying for a while at T-mobile, and it’s really close to my house - because trains and buses are not doing it for me anymore.
Just to be prepared I started looking through my closet, and dug out my dress shirts and things. And I do mean dug. It’s like a maze in there, seriously
. Not to mention I have three poles in my closet (one practically grazing the ceiling for Joel, the second so low I swear Joel might slip up and crush it — for me, and the third one across the back wall that we really don’t use). I slip on a shoe box while trying to swing to the back and out rolls my old cellphones.

Hah, none of them are color screens. At least I don’t thinks so. Look how far we’ve come. They’re not even that old. I had my very first cellphone somewhere, god knows what that is. I’m not even sure if these are all really mine. I’ll have to shamefully admit that I’ve had about 13 cellphones since I was 13, not including those three
. They break, they get stolen (twice), I lose them…not so much anymore, I promise. I just thought that was interesting.
And even more interesting, Joel and I were talking to my grandma, and we wanted to tell her something about her poor deceased computer (well, the fact that she’s getting a new one from us) and she was all like “What, you’re getting married?” with this goofy grin on her face. I took the opportunity to tell her ‘well, yeah’, as if she didn’t know by now. I felt comfort in her saying that, especially because sometimes your family wants you to do things like the way they did it or the way other family members are doing it - which is what I thought. It was good to hear her recognize that the way I may want to do things isn’t the way everyone else in my family is necessarily doing it - No way am I waiting 12 more years to get married!

I constantly find old cellphones. I think I have about 5 or 6 now, hah. Just shows how irresponsible I am. Oh, and I love that stationary
I’m an avid list maker myself
they just help me think - I don’t always use them either! omg, 12 years?! is your gramma crazy!? hahaha. just kidding… good luck with the job and health concerns
i dont write in cursive at all, only my signiture. i cant even remember how to make half the letters.
i think i might switch to cingular soon. ive had my phone for 2 years and it’s driving me nuts! plus i hear good things about cingular…and i think them and t-mobile merged or something.
good luck wit hthe job
!! Those stationaries (sp?) you wrote lists on! Hee. I used to collect those before. I think I even had that exact same paper as well (which was why it stood out), but ah, those were years ago. I used to collect stationery (I even had a pretty one that looks like it was made for a wedding!), but then I lost the folder where everything was in and… yeah. :/
Anyhoo… :P
And that you can get a job and that you do get that one at T-Mobile.
I hope you hear something good when you go to the doctor.
And hee at the cellphones. I’ve only had 4 different cellphones in 6? 7? years, lol. I did have a friend who had an aunt that sold cellphones back in the Philippines so everytime a new Nokia model came out, she had a new phone too. :P Craziness.
i didnt know you were getting married babe!!
congratulations!! when exactly?
i am very happy for you
oh you bad girl, i only had 5 phones since i was 16 and i gave 3 of them to my dad lol.

I love this layout. This is too cute with the little girl Angel in Training. You have good handwriting, better than mines. ::Smooches::
I make lists all the time! I usually use them, but never finish them. I really hope the doctor has only good news for you babe
I hope things work out for you. I heard Hunter and Lehman and figured, New Yorker. I’m coming on the 3rd of June to B&N in Coop. I’d love to meet you!
