July 5th, 2006: Happy Fourth!

I went jogging this morning, and had to turn back because it was raining. I’m talking all out downpour. I could barely breathe - your girl was drowning out there! tomorrow’s another day though!

I had a grand fourth of July weekend - On saturday I went over to my aunt’s house for our traditional get together; we played Outburst (which was an all out war between the Elderly and the Embryos ), the matriarchs continued to complain how all singers nowadays all look the same while the guys had The Huge Kobe Bryant Debate. It was fun, even though I had a tic scare. The foilage around that place is insane. My aunt had some tic-free flowers in her yard though:

Then yesterday, Joel, my sister and I went to a mini block party/barbeque. Mad fun - the music was bumpin (courtesy to one of my neighbors who hooked some speakers up to his car) and the fireworks were going off like crazy. They were beautiful, except for when people stared throwing mini ones at each other trying to scare people half to death - My sis and I hid behind my friend who was in charge of the barbequeing! They were more or less harmless, just loud! It went on until 3 in the morning. Alcohol was in short supply because of the amount of people that was there, but I was still feeling nice by the end of the night. Pics!

the guys

The guys (lol - joel towers over all those dudes )

the girls

Some of the girls - with J jumping to get into the picture at the last second

J with that old school shit.

We all were busting out the old school moves, J was workin’ that butterfly

I hope you all enjoyed your Independance day - I really enjoyed mine. The crew is already planning labor day. I’m off to the jewerly store

PS: The smilies/pixels have been somewhat updated, I’m in the process of adding things.

We’ve had rain like crazy, so I can imagine how heavy it was… & to be jogging in it & getting “trapped.”

awww, I really like your smilies, they’re the first thing I noticed when I went to comment, hehehe. Gaaah, rain, rain, rain. I guess a little rain won’t hurt and we need it here since it’s been freakin’ hot the last couple of days, but then I would say pass to heavy rain.
Thank you for sharing the pictures which are awesome by the way. Hahaha, your friends look kinda funny in the last pic.

    take care

  5. helga on July 6th, 2006 at 11:59 am

Hahaha, I’ve always wanted my neighborhood/area to have a block party (cos it sounds so cute), but that’s next to impossible

It’s been raining hard lately, this side of the world. I woke up this evening cos it was raining sooo hard and it scared me for some reason. But walking/jogging in the rain is pretty sweet. But not to the point of “drowning” hahahaha.

it’s raining here today! rain is nice when you’re indoors, but it’s not so pleasant when you’re caught in it! especially during a run!

  29. Keng on July 12th, 2006 at 8:07 pm

Sorry to hear about how all the rain prevented you from jogging. :/
I like all this rain, though, heeee.

Ooh, that picture you took of the flower is lovely.
I miss my relatives. And huge clan get-togethers. :

And haha, I know exactly what you mean by callbacks. xD I call them for the same reason as you–so I can move on if they won’t hire me and not keep on hoping that they would.

  30. Marsadie on July 16th, 2006 at 10:08 pm
