July 30th, 2006: Six Flags!

We actually got it together and went. We = Jimmy, Tony, Maria, Tory, Heidi, Me, and Joel. Yesterday, on about an hour of sleep. We’re a bunch of wierdos. Friday night we were all hanging out, and before we knew it, it was 4am. Don’t ask me, I still don’t know how we all were able to meet up at 6:30am to go do this thing. I had alot of fun though.
I got on a few rides (meaning just the water rides and the bumper cars) and I was sweating the whole time. Things I liked and disliked about six flags:
- Their overpriced food. We all bought a pizza to share and the Large turned out to be a $25 four slice pizza that we asked them to cut into 8 slices for us. We were too hungry for that place.
- The cool mists and stuff that were around for us to walk through. A godsend, and pure genius. I don’t know if they had those Fans blowing cool misty air at you on the lines for the other rides, but thank goodness they at that at the Kingda Ka.
- The way they trap you there until 6pm, if you’re taking the bus. They sucked about $300 bucks out of us yesterday, mostly attributed to the fact we kept getting thirsty and hungry. We were looking at the clock like ‘its only 4??’ Mind you, we were there from 8am that morning.
Those are some ones that stood out at me, but there’s alot that go without saying - like the rides, and the funnel cake, and all that good stuff. The crew is already talking about going to hurricane harbor in august, but I can’t think about doing anything until the swelling in my feet goes down hahaha. It took a toll on me (the last time I really exerted myself like that was maybe when I went to the zoo), but it was worth it because I had crazy fun. I’m glad I’ve finally found real chill people to just hang out with.
I am super sore, my throat is raw, and my feet still hurt. I’ve got calls to make, catching up to do (with people and with sleep!)

WOW! That’s a lot of moola to shell out x_x;; But oh well, it still sounds like an awesome day!
The Authentication code thing is a WP plugin. The one I use is at http://www.liqintao.net/blog/?p=55
However, there are other kinds out there if you go to wp-plugins.net
$300!!! That’s alot of fun. Those places make all their money of the food prices. haha. It’s ridiculous how pricey things are. The movies its the same way! Crazy, I tell ya!
But, it still sounds like a fun day!!
i hope the swelling of your feet goes down a bit hun. lol @ only getting on water rides and bumper cars.. THATS EXACTLY WHAT I DO. i wouldnt dare ride one of those rollercoasters.. i’m too scared
:
I
mmm talking about pizza has made me hungry, 25 dollars for a 4 piece pizza? ok, that is just nuts. id tell them to go shove it up their asses. nobody will get any money from me like that.
i just had pizza today yum.
all those theme parks have over priced everything. it’s like $10 for a keychain.
Congrats on finding cool people to chill with. I know how hard and impossible that is to do. I never been to six flags before, but i hope i go soon.
It looks like you had a great time at Six Flags. I loved the pictures. I tell you though, all amusement parks are expensive, especially when it comes to food and drinks. I also ran across a lot of the mist-blowing fans at both Disney’s Animal Kingdom Universal’s Islands of Adventure. They’re one of the best inventions ever.
hooray 4 six flags, i went to six flags on thursday :P 25$ for 4 slices of pizza? that’s crazy :S i’d get sick eating it because it’s so expensive!
Six flags is always great fun! Mmmm funnel cakes!!
I love your smilies. They are hella cute. I’m glad you had a good time with your friends.
Sigh.. never ever been to six flags! Hopefully, some day I can go!!! is $25 for 4 slices of pizza expensive, fair or cheap??? umm…
That’s good you have got a friends you can have fun with. That’s really hard in the world full of lies.
And thanks for adding me to your links.
i totally feel for you on the expense of going to cool places. i was just at the aquarium in baltimore, md. and for 4 of us to eat crap like burgers and paninis , fries, and chips. it cost over $40. might as well have gone to a sit down nice restuarant! geeesh.
six flags sounds like major fun though, i must say
ps beautiful website. heck that doesnt even describe it!
Six flags is so much fun, but I haven’t been in a while, sadly. The food IS pretty overpriced. I mean 25 dollars for 4 slices? That is steep. But the rides are so much fun. I love rollercoasters. You don’t?
Six flags is pricey to the core! haha It eats up money on food and beverage that a lot of people don’t even spend for in a month. I went last Saturday and was there from 10am to 1230 midnight. If you buy the tickets online, you can get it for 25$ each if you include 9 other people. Well, I’m not sure if that’s a limited offer but it wouldn’t hurt to check the next time you plan on going. (; I really like your layout btw, pink and green is my favorite color combo =)
I’m glad you had a fun time somehow.
But yeah, overpriced food are always such big turn-offs when it comes to amusement parks, but then you aren’t really left with much of a choice. I remember back in the Philippines, there’s just one major amusement park there, and what we do when we go is get our hands stamped and eat outside then go back in. :P Much cheaper that way, lol.
But yaaaay for funnel cake!! ♥ Haha, I’m always going to remember that funnel cake thread back at Dolce Amaro.
Six Flags NJ is an AWESOME park. I do agree on their food being overpriced (we always tried to eat decent breakfast and then hold out ’til we left the park that evening haha), but overall it’s a decent park.
Have you ever been to Dorney Park? It’s in Allentown, PA, which might be a bit of a haul from NY (though then again, maybe not too bad, as Allentown is about two hours north of where I live at), but it’s well worth it. Their water park is terrific!
Hi Dee!
I found your website through JC’s and I just love reading your blog and the design of your site. I recently got my own website and was wondering if it would be alright if I liked you from my website.
Anyway, it looks like you had a ton of fun at Six Flags.
I hope to hear from you soon!
I have never gone to six flags but it seems like you had a good time.
You should take me some time so I can experience it. lol It’s nice to have cool people to chill with. We all need them in our lives. To spend long nights and days with, definitely.
you up for a dalie/link exchange? it’s Shana…if u remember me.lol.
…me get a new site!!
I have always wanted to go to Six Flags! I’m so jealous :P Glad you had fun. Those kinds of places always empty your wallet. I used to get a seasons pass for Canada’s Wonderland every summer, but it is just so expensive. Especially once I started going just to hang out with friends, haha. By the way, it has been much too long since you last posted. I miss youuuuuuu!
Eeee, you have a new layout!!
Am completely loving all the colors and the vexel of you–very smooth, very pretty.
Blog soon!
