September 26th, 2006: Sick drunks.


I have blown my nose now for the 6,000th time.

Now usually during the wintertime, I’m sick with a cold for at least 80% of the season, each cold lasting 3-5 days. I’ve yet to figure out why that is, but it’s become normal for me. So have to a cold for more than a week is startling, not to mention a drag. :

This is what I’ve done for the past week and a half: blown my nose repeatedly, taken numerous doses of vitamins, nyquil, tylenol, and claritin (in four hour intervals, of course), gotten wierd/sympathetic glances from my friends, and drank myself silly. Everyone would just look at me and say something to the effect of “Jeez, you look terrible,” or “You sound like man,” or the most popular “Ew stay away from me! (from behind their sleeve, shirt collar, or surgical mask.) The only person who didn’t scamper away from me is Joel, and that’s because he’s the one who got me sick, and Tony, because he’s the one who got Joel sick. Can you tell how often we hang out?

But anyway –  yes, I drank. It was for Joel’s belated birthday celebration, and Tony told me that it would ‘clear my sinuses’ . Silly me never knew it would actually make me feel worse a day or two later. Should I have known? Not sure. But I did have fun on Saturday at least. There was a cake, some drunken uno, plenty alcohol, and lots of friends:

Patròn, E&J, and Bacardi O  a terrible combination for those not looking to get drunk.

Joel’s birdhday cake was of course, football shaped. And yes, it does say Happy 24th Giant - that’s his nickname ’round these parts. :lovestruck:

 

I did some zig zag braids on his hair, so he would be looking nice for the festivities.

 

Drunken Uno! Who would have thought, lol. Being the birthday boy, of course we had to make him draw 10 (for every card you had to draw you had to take a big gulp from your cup.)

 

He took it like a man, well barely. 

 

Then it was Tony’s turn to draw 6!

 

Tori was just chillin’ - he didn’t have to draw at all!

 

BX!

 

Needless to say, everyone was messed up.

I only had to draw two myself, but by that time I was taking plenty of shots on my own. I know the guys have pictures of me in my drunken stupor, but I’ll have to wait until I can get it from them. Besides, I’ve posted enough pics of myself to last a while. We attempted to watch Waiting while we played but ended up hanging outside with all the sane, sober people and both were cut short. Snickering, bootyshaking, and spurts of mistaken identity ensued, and the rest is history.

We had a grand time. If only I knew I would still feel this crappy after the fact! This has made my job hunting come to a full halt, at least for a while. I fully intend to resume as soon as my eyes start losing focus when I stare at something too long. This headache is serious.

    Despite you being sick (which I hope it gets better soon!), sounds like a mad hopping party! ^_^ That cake looks gooooooooooooood.

    no tonys actually right. paul’s the one who told me drankin’ helps. i did one time i was sick & it killed that shit instantly. but then again everyone’s different.

    hey girlie,, hope u feel better. r u sure your sick that often and that’s it’s not sinus problems or allergies? my parents use to think i was sick a lot when I was younger, but now we know that it was sinus issues. take care, drink plenty of juice and i hope you feel better sooooooon!

    You poor thing! I feel for you! I get colds A LOT during the winter and it sucks so bad. It seems to last forever and then I just can’t sleep : I really hope you’ll get better soon, because being sick is certainly not fun at all

    Anyway, it loooks like you had such a good time. Good lord, look at all those yummy drinks! I really want that Bacardi right about now Good stuff! The cake also looks good, too!

    Post those pictures of you drunk! I’m sure you look crazy, but thats how to do it!

    Aww… I’m sorry you’re sick sweetie. I detest having a head cold; blowing one’s nose over and over gets pretty painful, not to mention irritating. *lol* I hope you feel better soon.

    Ooo… what a party! From the looks of things, everyone had a great time. ^^
