October 31st, 2006: Happy Halloween!

Ok, so I don’t celebrate Halloween like alot of people do (though it’s a pretty good reason to stuff myself with candy - which i didn’t even do this year
) but I’m feeling festive this year, hence the graphic above.
Maybe a week ago my mom asked Joel and Tony to explain who Jason and Michael are — to her, they were the same person. Yeah. So what started out as a discussion lead to The Great Horror Debate, which lead to Tony bringing his collections over to “prove his case”. I’m talking all his collections
.

I’m so horror movie’d out right now, but I think just hearing the two of them go back and forth was hilarious - Who can’t die, who’s stronger, who’s smarter. When I got tired of the uproar, I went to my grandma’s and tried to reteach her how to use her computer. It’s kind of wierd - you know people aren’t born knowing how to do everything but seeing someone who always knew what to do - who taught you most everything you know - getting fumbled and frustrated; typing on the keyboard like it’s a typewriter (which in turn leave a string of one letter repeated 50 times
), wrestling with the mouse and all that, it’s like wow. Of course she got back into the swing of things and we did some crosswords together (she’s a freaking champ at those).
Ack. We’re still watching movies now. I’m not even focused on Halloween anymore - it’s all christmas all the time for me, baby. I’ve already got a list in my mind about what gifts I want to give and plan to get them asap and put them down. I’ve learned my lesson with the last minute shopping!
ps: go visit Connie and show her some love!

I have yet to watch any of the Friday the 13th stuff…. reading this makes me want to watch Child’s Play 1, 2, and 3 now…
I LOVE that halloween graphic. I don’t celebrate halloween either but I really love how that looks.
I’m glad I didn’t have to teach my Nanna to use a computer. She thankfully went to a basic computer skills class which was lucky for me. Its nice that you and your grandma share so much though.
awww shit! i see part 3 of friday the 13th in there! my boyfriend bought me that part for my birthday. i was amazed to find out that i can still recite every word to that movie. we also had fun watching all the lame 3D effects. hehe!
I am such a huge horror movie fanatic, and I can honestly say, I can get sick of them after awhile as well. Ha, my Grandma using a computer? Haha. That would be terrible lol. She doesn’t even know what they’re really supposed to be used for.
I really like the graphic, it looks good! Im horror movied out and I only saw one which was texas chainsaw massacre the beginnging. I was so scared, I left the theater early! I love crosswords hehe.
I dont have a list of what I want for christmas or what I want to give who but I dont have any money to buy people things =( I need a job. Thanks for commenting
Hey dollface!!! It’s okay, i only changed my surname! My last name was so hard to pronounce and spell and i never used it so i figured might as well changed it. gonna be so much easier!
gosh i have NEVER seen friday the 13th or anything like that. i could like count on 1 hand all the scary movies i’ve seen! i can’t handle them!!! LOL supernatural scary freaks me out more than realistic stuff ha!
well hope ya’ll had a great halloween! no real halloween celebrations in australia but it is slowly catching on!!!
i hope you had a good halloween. i didn’t but i wasn’t about to celebrate anyways. and old horror movies were great, now those nowdays horror movies suck so bad, they are all about blood and no story at all!!
i like halloween! i love xmas more though.
i really want to see saw 3, but i have to be in the right mood to see horror movies.
I caught a glimpse of one once when I was little.. I think like 3rd grade. I think a girl died in the bathroom.. I have refused to watch those movies ever since. I am the biggest horror movie wuss ever!
Thanks for the sweet greetings, hon!
I love that graphic! It’s very Halloween-ish indeed! I know Michael is from the “Halloween” series…and I’ve DEFINITELY heard of Jason…can’t pin him on a movie series though…
Rather late, but happy halloween.
Bogged down with finals, so no time to really bum around online lately.
What a pretty blog you have here.
I enjoy Halloween because its the one day a year where my girls and I can get dressed in rediculous outfits and noone can say anything that really matters.
I have some photos on my blog of my girls and I on Halloween
