November 26th, 2006: Thanksgiving!


 Hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving, I did! Joel and I had already planned to chill at my aunt’s house (pictured above) and then cab it over to my friend Tony’s house where his roomate/resident cook threw down in the kitchen. I love spending time with my family - having that many talkative people in one room is enough to burst an eardrum, and I still love it - we laughed, debated, reminisced and ate. :happytear: Afterward, against our better judgement, tried to get a cab. No such luck in the least. We ended up back in my aunts house for a few more hours and got a ride later. Some of my friends we already at Tony’s so we drank a little, laughed and ate some more. Good times.

Fast forward to a few days later. The crew wanted to have a special kind of dinner type thing - seeing as how alot of us were going to hop from house to house on thanksgiving, but never got to (no cabs!). Joel volunteered to cook and everyone pitched in things. So yesterday we ate some more and drank a whole lot more. I tried Devil Springs, Cìclone, and Tanqueray Sterling Vodka. Craaazy. And check this out.

Oh man. Devil Springs is 160 proof, and comes with that nifty warning on the back. How many alcoholic beverages do you know that says “Yeah, no shots, ok?” Ack. Of course there’s one in every group that wants to do the stupidest things, against everyone else’s warnings, and you best believe that drink kicked the hell out of him. Smh. So the drunken jokes, stories and body movements lasted until the early morn. So much fun. Now I’m looking forward to christmas even more than before. Like I said – all christmas, all the time!

    160 proofs? Wow… strong stuff! That’s more than Bacardi 151!

    And that first picture of the food looks delici!!! Yum!

    Wow, that’s some strong alcohol! o_O; The strongest I ever tried was Bacardi 151 and that nearly made me puke.

    Hi, I must say That’s a nice lookin table lol. Well im glad to see and hear that your Thanksgiving was good. Drinking…most of the time fun.lol @ the warning though… never even seen one like it. Be blessed

    Wow that feast looks amazing. I know nothing about alcohol so I dont know what proofs are haha! I guess that would be how strong it is? If so, thats really strong. Glad you had a good time.

    haha. wow.. sounds like you had an excellent time. I thought I was going nuts when I looked at that bottle of alc. shooot 160 proof. talk about knock me on my ass! vodka and i. we dont always get along so well. hmmm. glad you had a good holiday :grin:

    Your so lucky, your family actually let you bring your lover to their house for Thanksgving. I wasn’t allowed to bring my boyfriend to my aunts house so I went over there and started shit with her for being so rude. I havn’t talked to my family since. It was a crappy Thanksgivng. I’m glad yours was good!

    WOW! 160 PROOF! That would keep me sick for days! I remember one time I was drinkin at a party and didn’t realize until the next day that I was drinking fruit punch and everclear which I herd was like 200 proof I think, or something really bad like that. I was literally throwing up for days! Not good! I never drank heavily again after that.

    I absolutely love Vodka, especially Russian vodka! It’s a lot better than Tequila. I had a whole bottle to myself the other day (because I refused to drink beer.) It was super dry! (Yeah, totally random and unrelated!)

    Man, I try to go hard, but I’ve come to the conclusion that I am NOT a drinker lol. I can barely drink a whole bottle/cup of .5 alcohol. Lmao. That food is making me hungry!

    That table looks lovely. I’m glad you had a good thanksgiving.

    DS? That ish can start a car My favorite thing to make with a little of that is a hell on Sunday as we like to call it . Take some DS (or just some Bacardi if you are scared lol), put one part to two - three parts lemonade and 3 cry babies (yes the candy) in a glass and drink it down and PRAY for your life . Take care.
