June 24th, 2007: Sky


the sky about to pour.

That was the way the sky looked after my little sister’s graduation (which was very nice, by the way).  It was really about to pour. This would have been cool, had Joel and I not been stuck at the damn place waiting for a cab for almost an hour . Enough said. No pictures of the little sis, or the graduation — I need to respect all of their privacy. But it was really nice. I saw alot of my old teachers, and they were glad to see me. The ceremony didn’t go on for too long, either. Enough about that though, this entry is going to be boring anyway.

I about to update my wordpress - wish me luck. I’m freaking afraid, I’ll admit. I have not touched a wp file to install or upgrade. Not once. I was always lucky because there were people who were kind and generous enough to help. But I think I may need to go this alone. Because yes — I want widgets.

    Aww you are such a sweetheart. I apologize for not getting back to you tonight. A co worker of mine invited me out to dinner, we had some other employees there and some good friends of ours. I hope everything went well with the upgrade - it looks as though it did. Let me know if you need anything!

    WP is not that hard~ But I see you did it! ^_^ Woot! And yeah it’s always nice to see old teachers… although with my case, I saw them after graduating on a daily basis!

    Wow. I still couldn’t get the hang of wordpress lol. Its so hard to me maybe because I don’t read the directions throughly. My mind is always somewhere else lol.

    Well, that good you sister graduation was nice and fast! I’m so scared of WP… hahaha.. I need to upgrade mines.. but I don’t want too, I want widgets too! We’ll see!!

    Good luck with the upgrade! I don’t think I will ever upgrade my WP, I’m too scared of messing up everything.

    Oh yea, the program I used for my video was the trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro. Movie Maker crashed on me one too many times =/

    I’ve been too lazy to read about widgets, but that mostly stems from the fact that I don’t even have a sidebar to put them in. XD So what special thing do they do?

    Sometimes, it scares me to upgrade, but it is needed to stay secure. I get thoughts on “What if the whole site goes down?” or “What if my plugins won’t work?” That’s usually my case of upgradaphobia. Sucks. Goodluck with you though! So far, my wordpress upgrades have been successful.

    That’s a beautiful picture. Good luck with the widgets. I have the same thing and yes, I am a rookie a wordpress as well. Took me 2 days to convert my whole website to wp.

    Good luck on updating. I am always scared to do it by myself, but I always do anyway. Back ups are our friends!

    Thats a beautiful pic.
    Recieving a diploma for higher learning is like a new high for me.
    It’s a beautiful feeling to have. I remember my last diploma.
    I was excited and overwhelmed. I’m happy for your sister.

    WP isnt that hard to tamper with…in my opinion any way. lol

    That is a very beautiful photo. You’d make a great photographer.

    I recently updated my wordpess. I almost messed it up too. But I will tell you this, make sure you back up your databases and your whole site, because if something goes wrong, at least you’ll still have everything. The only thing you’d have to do is reinstall & fix things up a bit.

    My sister graduated from university about 2 weeks ago but I couldn’t go because there weren’t enough tickets. That kind of sucked, but she enjoyed it anyway.
