So - have you ever had a ton of things happen, and when you go to retell the story to those who ask, it doesn’t seem like much at all? Hah, yes. It’s just one of those things, folks.
Despite the consensus - the one that says I’m dead, I’m actually still among the living, if only for a little while. Thanks for all 50 of those comments!
Just when I thought no one was paying attention.
Four holidays - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s - all came and left with a dormant Like-Honey
They were all great for me, and to go through all the tidbits…Again, It’s just one of those things. But I could allude to each event with one sentence and make it sound so much more intriguing than it was:
Halloween: Don’t let Happy Feet drink. Vote for Pedro.
Thanksgiving: For Jamaicans, the legal drinking age is 40, not 21.
Christmas: I didn’t know grandma could dance like that.
New Years: Did you see that asian prostitute stealing liquor?!
And there you have it.
So, Laceypoo and I were talking about this list she’d started. There are so many little things in the world that are very often overlooked that can bring you joy, if only for a moment. Her list is beyond cute - I can count at least 5 things that I love from that list alone. After some prodding, she got me to make my own list, lovingly dubbed It’s the little things.
- Getting handwritten letters in the mail.
- Spinning in desk chairs.
- Fresh school supplies.
- Singing a song that’s stuck in your head and it coming on the radio.
- The smell of grass in the spring.
- The silhouette of leaves on windows.
- Dreaming of your dream car.
- Someone saying exactly what you’re thinking.
- Falling asleep in a moving car.
- Thinking you’re out of cereal and finding a new box for the taking.
- Laying down and being perfectly comfortable.
- The joy of sailing through three or more green traffic lights.
- Waking up and it’s so perfectly bright and sunny outside that it fills your whole room up.
- The feeling you get from Disney songs.
- Getting to the perfect ending of a good book. Bittersweet, but sweet nonetheless.
- Talking to someone for the first time and connecting with them immediately.
- Peeling the plastic sticker off the screens of new stuff after it’s been scratched up and watching it look brand new.
- Daydreaming to a soundtrack.
What are some of the little things in life that you enjoy? Or even the big things. Or even one thing! Let’s hear it!
New layout, by the way. I likes it.
Oh! I’ve been meaning to express just how happy I am that everyone likes the downloads that I’ve provided. They definitely took a while to make, and I’m glad they’re being put to good use. That being said, I’ve created an extended pack for one set in particular, because they are by far the most downloaded set of smileys:

There are twenty new smileys for this set including angel, emo, party, drool and say whaaaat. Enjoy!
Thank you Jenny - The smileys are fixed and can be downloaded.

I had my first hangover this morning.
It was so unexpected, seeing as how I was just ’socially’ drinking.
Well, at least I hope I was. Joel and I showed our faces at our friends’ house, after Joel, Tony and the rest of them came back from paintball. The stories were crazy - it was straight warfare. We played some beer pong and a few game of kings - which by the way, I love to play! I really wanted to take pictures but I can’t trust my camera with drunks (including myself, sometimes) so I left it home. I was so tired. Joel wants to take me paintballing next month, so after I woke up I found that he’d picked out a gun for me. It’s official! Too bad I have terrible aim.
Embarrasing moment of the night: I was going to the bathroom, and in pushed my friend who needed to use the bathroom too. She asked me to pass her some toilet paper as I was flushing, and when I yanked on the roll, the whole damn thing came out and the white plastic roll thing flew down the toilet. I freakin’ flushed it! I was mortified.
I’ll admit. I didn’t say a damn thing. That is, until we were playing Kings. When we realized we lost the ball for beer pong and we laughed about how wierd that was, one of the roomates said “and you know what’s wierd too? Our toilet roll is missing.” I’m telling you, the confession just flew right out of my drunk ass. And I was forgiven. ahahahah.
So, in retrospect, could it be possible that I tried to drown my guilt in beer? not likely, I just got carried away after having been the lucky one; never having a hangover and all. Not the smartest idea I ever had, I’ll admit. It’s just a damn toilet roll-thing. Lesson learned. Anyway.
I finally put up a new layout (my first complete css layout), which took me a day to draw; I’m pretty pleased with it. I have to make sure I’m enthralled by whatever I put up — who knows how long it’ll be up. I know, the last one just got super stale. And I got all the threatening emails/comments. Thanks!
you know what else? the signature at the end of every entry is my actual handwriting. Nifty huh? I updated the entire site, and switch some things up, cleaned out links that didn’t have me linked back - everything, since it was about time. I also installed a new q & a script, and a new guestbook, so go ahead and ask me shit (If you have asked a question before and it wasn’t answered, you’ll have to ask it again, because I couldn’t get to them.). And sign the book.
In general, life has been great - I’ve gotten the pleasure of learning about the other side of some of the people I hung with, and used that to make a decision about the continuation of our friendship(s). I live a more peaceful exsistance now, one that I really missed. It’s amazing what people will do if you let them (and sometimes when you very openly ask them to refrain.)

My boo all dressed up for a family function. I love love love this picture. :lovestruck:
